I saw these done at convention in July and of course had to buy the die Basic Birthday (119278) to make my own. I have used up some retired papers to make these. If you have ever thought about buying the Big Shot I am tell you that it is one of the best purchases I have made. Just love all the things you can make. Yes it is expensive but I sure use mine. and so can my grandchildren it sure is easy to entertain them with this machine.. and they have so much fun... Thanks for stopping by we are into September tomorrow. soon school will start time for a workshop give me a call.

Awash with Flowers
Hello all I certainly don't know where this month has gone. But here we are the 28th of August and this is the last day of OUR Corn and Apple festival. It is a very large street fair and our little town swells with people from all over.. Up to 40,000.00 people come and get free corn and apple cider that's a lot of corn to cook as you can eat as many as you want and of course it is all free.. Not a lot of free out there anymore. It seems as soon as this weekend is over the weather turns and we know fall is coming..
I really like this card it is my style it is for a up coming workshop the saying can be changed easily.. The set Awash with Flowers (117062) is on page 99. I used Concord Crush paper and ink one of this years in colors, with Very Vanilla. Two punches Oval large (119855) and Scallop Oval (119856) found on page 201 and 202 of the main catalogue.

Grape Jelly
Well I dressed up the Apricot and the Strawberry Jam so had to do the same with Grape. The grapes are from a very retired set can't even remember the name. I did use the new 1 1/2 Circle punch (120906) from the up coming Holiday Mini. The grapes I colored with in-color Concord Crush and Always Artichoke. Think I am done making jam and jelly this season but we are heavy into tomato sandwiches.. Nothing better than from the garden..... thanks for stopping by..

Calendar
Hello I have been cleaning my stamp room and going through a lot of unfinished projects. Here is one from a convention shoe box project that Karen and JoAnn put on ... it was much easier to put together than I thought. I haven't added any pictures to it and might not for a bit as this calendar will work for several years. My stamp room looks much neater for now I really didn't throw much out made a box up for my granddaughter to pick through.. I did find a few things I forgot I had that seems to always happen. Is that a sign of having to much.... I don't think soooooooooooooo one can never have to much right....

Welcome to my blog... This is another card I made for a sign up Christmas swap at convention in July. This uses the set Welcome Christmas (118736) found on page 37 of the main catalogue. I used Basic Black and Cherry Cobbler paper.. The silloettes are embossed with black. I also used the Big shot Top Note die (113463) page 207 and the Folder Petals-a-Plenty (116824) page 214, The Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border punch (119275) page 200 was the final touch. As you can see the also has a bit of a different fold of the base card. Took some time but I really got some nice cards in return with this swap..

Mother Goose Shoe
Hi isn't this just the cutest shoe. It was a swap I received from Convention 2010 that I attended in Salt Lake City Utah. One of the great things is to swap cards. Lynn Pratt made this one I think it is adorable and sure reminds me of The Old Lady who lived in a Shoe.... Thanks for stopping by I will post more swaps over the next few weeks.

Have a Great Long weekend / Hostess special for August
Hello everyone. Here in Canada it is a holiday weekend August first is a civic holiday and will be celebrated tomorrow on the 2nd. for most. This weekend has given me a bit of time to look through my many swaps from Convention, put those suitcases away again. and finally unwind a bit. Had a dear friend pass away at the young age of 63, we had not been close the last few years but had for many years. Made me think a bit and may just email a bit more to some old friends. Moving away should not stop a friendship not with computers, texting (I don't know how) and cheap phone rates...
I have worked on my display boards today, did my pre- order for the upcoming holiday mini can hardly wait to play when the product arrives.
I added a new button about the HOSTESS SPECIAL for the month of August if you are wanting to get in on the extra benefits phone or email me, so we can set a date for you.
