There certainly must have been a lot of people wishing for a White Christmas in this area. We sure got it!! Ray and I stayed home hope to get to our daughters today sometime. Right now Ray is snow blowing. Our house is done but we have a couple of neighbours that he takes care of and is doing theirs now... The snow plow came through last night about 2:30 and left a four foot ledge that was very hard to go through. We got a new snow blower this winter Ray said our other one wouldn't have gone through it... We were warm, had plenty of food but certainly was a strange Christmas day with no family. I actually stamped got 24 card fronts done for Leadership coming up next month. We ate JUNK food all day and had homemade green pea soup. TODAY we will have turkey and all the trimmings. Happy Holidays everyone and for those that have to travel please be safe... Go slow if you need too I know our two hour drive will probably take three today..
Here it is December 22, I finally have a dinning room table. Usually it is full of my stamping things. I hold my workshops in my dinning room. But I have taken the two leaves out put a Christmas table cloth on and it almost looks like a Dinning Room instead of a stamp room. These two pointsietta plants look lovely together. One from my husband the other from my part time work place... The next few days will be very busy for many have a wonderful Christmas. Remember Jesus is the reason for the season....
Made this with some of my new toys from the upcoming Occasional Mini that starts Jan 5th. Not the best sample but I am extremely tired and this is all I came up with. I used new punch, new Easter set and new embossing folder.. Many of my customers should receive this mini in the mail any day now.. I know Christmas isn't here yet and I am thinking Easter... Thanks for stopping. e

Hi all we got our first snow fall last night (monday) and it waited till Dec 1st. that in it self is unusual... It looked absolutelybeautiful this morning when I got up. Not so good if you were driving though... Lots of people hit the ditch. The trees in the back yard are so pretty reminds me of a Christmas card... Have a great day everyone I will have cards on the next post.
I made several of these for some of my stamping friends. I used Stampin' Up! Flower Folds (115970), Scallop Square(115950) and Little Leaves (114511). Put these through the Big Shot and then decorated the pens with matching paper. Fun and useful projects... Thanks for stopping by this is the last day of November seems like I wrote a few days ago that it was the beginning. Where has the time gone and NO SNOW yet for us.

Every year for Christmas I make calenders for my three children and ourselves. The pictures are from the months of the previous year. I always bought from SU but they have discontinued them. My husband bought me a bind it all for my birthday last year so made our own... They are made from 99% SU products both current and retired. Lots of fun to do although they take a lot of time. It is so fun to see the grandchildren grown and all of us change as the years go by. I am hoping to use My Digital Studio next year. I think this is the first time that I have never had snow in November. Actually we had a dusting this morning but it is almost gone.. Thanks for stopping by Leave a comment if you wish.
I needed several sympathy cards lately, here is a fast but elegant looking card looks much nicer in person. Uses Sahara Sand card stock (105328) I put one piece through the big shot with the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder (115964) then took Bravo burgundy to stamp With Sympathy. Just to let you know I have completed the My Digital Studio course and am now certified.. It is a fun program and very easy to use.
Here are a couple of calenders I made for a craft sale..Doing a fund raiser craft sale today in Plum Coulee at the school. I have gone there for several years. Last night I had 10 ladies here doing Christmas cards wow all went well though I think all had a good time It took three rooms in my home to set up the stations... Got the house back in order today though. Thanks for stopping if your thinking about sale a bration, now is good time to think about booking give me a call it starts Jan 5..
Here is a real easy fast card. I used the wheel Jolly (112479) with soft suede ink in the cartridge . The Simple Snowflake (115554) and matching punch Jumbo Snowflake (116628) the ribbon of course is the in color Soft Suede, as well as the paper. We still are having very nice weather no sign of snow, we do have our BIG snow man out in the yard I will take a picture one of these days.. Our new furnace has been installed so we should keep nice and warm this winter, also a new air-conditioner will try that next summer.
Here is a card that we did at one of my last workshops. The trees are embossed with Clear powder (109130) over Garden Green Craft ink (101841). Then I used a cloud template and sponged with Bashful Blue classic ink. I had cut the Seasons Greetings off of my stamp set and remounted it so that I can use the trees by them selves. I took my Two Way Glue Pen (100425) added glue then sprinkled Dazzling Diamonds(102023) on top. This uses Whisper White and Not Quite Navy card stock. Much prettier in person. Thanks for dropping by.
Here a card we did recently it is a long card 81/2-4. It uses the Holiday Lineup (111648) and the jumbo wheel Santa's Lineup (113120). You can't see it here but the deer are covered with iridescent ice (101930) and are very sparkly and bright. The paper is white, creamy caramal and real red..I used stampin write markers. Have a great weekend the weather here is nothing to complain about for November.. thanks for stopping by..

Hello all, well it has been a very busy time. Did a couple of craft shows and a stamp a stack in the last few days. Thanks to all who supported me. I did very well and am pleased with the turn outs and all the comments I received. This gift bag my sister brought with her on one of her visits a long time ago. I know my stamp groups made them last year and really like it. So thought I would share here. I know my sister got the idea from Peg B from Washington State, her demo and the girl who actually got me started with SU products. thanks Peg... It uses Night of Navy, Old Olive and Confettie White paper. The stamp set Heard from the Heart (111644) the wide oval punch(112082) and a retired snow flake punch. I put wiggly eyes and a bit of wire as well.
I wrapped these full sized bars for a craft sale. The kids really liked them. Simple Season Thanks (111548) was used for the snow man. I used the Sizzlet Die Swirls Scribbles (113441) for the antlers and several punches to create the singing mouse..
This card uses the Sweet Treat Cups (116802) found in the holiday mini.. Night of Navy paper and ink with Whisper White makes this easy. I used the Jolly wheel (112479) and the Sweet Centers set (116521) everything else I think is retired. This is a little shaker with sparkly snow in the cup. Thanks for stopping
Here is another card done with Dasher (116816) he is such a cute set. The Petals-A-Plenty (116824) folder was also used not sure what set the erry and bright is from it is probably retired but Merriment(115556) would work just as well it is on the last page of the Idea Book as us Dasher.
I used Rich Razzleberry paper and ribbon(115613) of the In Colors added a little sponging and done.. thanks for stopping

I have dressed every year since we moved to town. So here we are again... I borrowed these great, fantastic costumes and the neighbours thought we were wonderful.. I told a friend that I should take one of these pictures and put it on the fridge maybe it would be a incentive not to eat goodies. Ray said he sure wouldn't want to be this big... We had a fun time. The weather was great for the little ones this year.. Till next time.. thanks for stopping by I will get back to cards with the next posting. Off to a craft sale tomorrow...
Here is another card this one uses Snow Swirled (111690) this is a great set, I used Chocolate Chip and Always Artichoke ink and paper plus Very Vanilla paper and the Eyelet border punch (113692). It has turned colder and the leaves are finally falling off the trees. My husband got a new snow blower but he said he would gladly wait till after Christmas to use it. I am sure we will get snow before then. Tomorrow I am off for a me day going to the Theater and some shopping in the city so no stamping for me..Thanks for stopping feel free to leave a comment.

I got my first 8/8 book back from the printers the other day. This was my first attempt at using My Digital Studio all in all I was quite pleased. I did learn a lot, and will be able make my next one even better. It only took 10 days from the time I sent it to the printers to arrive at my door. That is not bad to have it sent to Canada... This program is very easy to use, me not being a computer whiz got the hang of it. That is a accomplishment on it's own... I would highly recommend My Digital Studio if you are thinking of a computer program to make Scrapbooks, Cards, Calenders you can also make DVDs with audio so there is great potential with this product.. Visit my stampin up web site for more information or to order. http://www.elainecarter.stampinup.net Today is Thanksgiving here in Canada so HAPPY TURKEY DAY ALL, and Columbus Day in the USA.
